Every week we continue our class with new adventures and new guests. Our guest this week was Fly Kupin. Fly, who is a music teacher in real life, has had many adventures. He is someone who attracts attention with his concerts and violin. He was connected to our lesson in the first place. We had the opportunity to chat. He told us about the Second Life process and some of his adventures. According to Fly, while walking on the road abroad, Hello, how you can talk to any person today, Second life is the virtual version of it. You can speak the way you want and it is very comfortable. However, he stated that trust is very important. He expressed that he looked like the Sims game when it first arrived. However, when he witnessed new avatars, he said he began to understand the game. He said that he met an American therapist through the game and that he started to feel good by talking to the therapist he had met in the virtual world about his difficulties in real life. He stated that concert venues are exhibition venues. He explained that he improved his English here, and at first worked as a photographer for the first few months. He told us that a Turkish person is playing the popular TV show Masumlar Apartment and it is an extremely enjoyable place. He even told us that he had a manager in Second Life, that he had never seen in real life, but that he was someone he replaces. He said that for the past few years, Second Life has focused on this business and has improved himself. He said that in the beginning he just played the second life microphone and listened to his friends there. Then he started his research and figured out what kind of equipment he needed to use. He said that he met a Canadian and that he was a very good musician and that he advertised Fly and said that this way he opened the way. He expressed that he was interested in his concerts because of Covid and people were very active.
After our conversation, he came to Cag University campus to give us a concert and gave a great concert. Here I had the opportunity to meet Fly Kupin, who has spent time in Second Life for years and turned his hobby into his business. In addition, it made me very happy that he was Turkish and could understand us better. Fly said something we never knew before. He said that he was good for himself emotionally and nourished his inner world. He played beautiful songs and said that foreign people love Turkish songs.
