FOR OTHER CHILDREN ' FEED A SMILE

There are people in Second Life for many purposes. Some are used for entertainment purposes while others are used for business purposes. Apart from these, there are also charities. Today, living conditions are very difficult, but thanks to the developing technology, we can reach the people we want to help wherever they are in the world. We had the opportunity to meet one of them in Second Life.

There is no one who does not know the hunger and poverty in Kenya. We all get upset when we see the pictures of the children there, and we wish we could do something. Here we met today with the Feed a smile organization and learned that there is someone working for them. The Live and Learn in Kenya NGO (LLK) is headquartered in Selb, Germany. Live and Learn in Kenya The International NGO is the "daughter" organization in Kenya and is a non-profit charity registered in Germany and Kenya. They invited us to the activity areas in second life and we got information about their contents.

So what do we know about Kenya located in the eastern part of the African continent? In these lands where both remote and natural life prevail, wildlife is more dominant. Among the overseas tours are Ethiopia, Somalia, Tanzania, Lake Victoria, Uganda and South Sudan around Kenya, perhaps one of the wildest regions. The capital of the country is Nairobi.

In Kenya, which has the highest rate of clean water resources compared to the average of African countries, 63% of the population can benefit from clean water resources. Again, a large proportion of the population can receive health care under primitive conditions. Among the most common diseases in the country are rabies, fever, malaria, typhoid fever, hepatitis and diarrhea.

The overpopulation of children draws attention here, and shelter and security problems persist along with hunger. There is a serious security problem in the country due to hunger and terrorism.

While we live our lives at certain standards, there are little hearts that lead a primitive life, whose only goal is to survive. Founded on a completely voluntary basis, Feed a smile continues its existence with the aim of making them smile, and continues its activities in the Lavender garden through Second Life and creates donation areas and distributes all the earned income to children in need in Kenya provides.

Here is how the gig works, people donate in a currency in which every 100 lindens (Secondlife Currency) exchanges to purchasing 1 hot meal. It is a really great way to view the show, rather than seeing the money exchanged and thinking about totals raised and it makes it so much more fun and engaging. During the live show, there is a board behind you which tells everyone how many meals you have managed to raise throughout the 1-hour show within the virtual world.

Desolation, hunger and thirst, beyond understanding poverty, ignorance, AIDS, child prostitution, child brides - this is what governs the lives of people - especially children - living in the Ronda / Barut Slums of Nakuru, Kenya. Live and Learn in Kenya is changing from day to day - child for child.

In my opinion, this is a very good job for musicians because as a result of a live concert that he will give for 1 hour, little children will smile. Not only concerts but also various art events are held here at exhibitions. We are all human beings and we need to be sensitive. We have an opportunity where we can help, support, and keep them full for a day. When we learn about the life they live, there is a situation that seems impossible to us, but they are real. The Feed a Smile team got into a great job entirely on a voluntary basis. They organized various organizations and established order in lavender gardens through second life. This German-based charity showed a true sense of empathy. They should know that they are not alone, there are people who also consider them. And we have to do something. Because goodness increases as it is shared.

Anyone who wants to help and get information can visit Feed a Smile's website. They can also meet on Second Life. If there is no Second Life application, it can download and participate for free.
